Over the past 50 years, Vienna has developed from a shrinking and aging city into a young and growing one. Werkstadt Junges Wien provides more than 1300 participatory activities across the city and takes children and young people’s opinions’ seriously, thus bringing them a feeling of self-efficacy. The initiative aims to be more structural, long-term, and large-scale. Its objective is to put social inclusion of all children and young people living and growing up in Vienna at the heart of policy-making and city administration.

在过去的50年里，维也纳已经从一个不断萎缩和老化的城市转变为一个年轻、不断成长的城市。维也纳儿童和青年计划提供超过1300场的参与性活动，对儿童和青年的观点和想法表示重视，给他们带来一种自我效能感。但该项目不止于此，而是更进一步，力图形成一项结构性更强的长期大型战略，其目标是将社会包容性置于城市决策和管理的核心，涵盖维也纳所有土生土长的儿童和青年。

Werkstadt Junges Wien has developed a strategy with 193 specific measures based on the freely-expressed suggestions from children and young people of different ages and backgrounds. The successful strategy has been passed by the Vienna City Council and became a binding commitment for the whole city.

该项目使各年龄段、各背景的儿童和青年都可以参与到这个过程中，自由表达自己对城市的想法。目前为止，已有193项具体措施和行动正在进行，项目成果令人惊叹。该战略已获得维也纳市议会通过，因此具有法律约束力。
